Remote Control – Day Four of Design Challenge

Remote Control – Day Four of Design Challenge

I’m starting to write this post a few minutes before midnight. I really had a hard time with this design. It’s strange because I loved the journey I was on with this one. The colors were amazing. I blended colors I never ever worked with before and it was an awesome ride, until the end. Textures… I feel like textures are my biggest challenge. While I’m working, I am focused on blending colors, shapes, patterns, and effects together. Most of the time the combinations clash hard. I have to work on perfecting the texture or the design doesn’t look right. Sometimes it could look pixelated or distorted. What really frustrates me is when I try to perfect the texture I start to lose the color blends. There’s always a balance.

I made several variations of this design. I worked with many colors. I think the music video will be good because you can see the journey. Even though I’m not completely happy with the destination, I am happy I was on this ride. I love the colors and that’s the most important thing. I don’t regret how the design looks. I know I can do better and I will.

I called this design Remote Control because I took a picture of a remote control with my drawing. I did work on the design a little bit more before I started working on the music video. It’s still part of day four because I was initially done with the design before I tweaked it. I really love the song that I used in the music video. It’s called The New Unknown by Today’s Man. I think it goes well with the colors. I love to find songs for music videos. I always try to add a song that fits with the design. I hope you like the video and the design.
