All abstract art designs featured in the music video album are from the Philadelphia Travel Series. I created 15 designs for this travel series. I made several variations from the original designs. No variation is shown twice in the video album. I created designs using Paintshop Pro and the video album with Sony Vegas.

I had some magical moments with this album. I was raised in Philadelphia, PA. I wasn’t born there but it’s my home. I’ve had lots of good and bad moments in Philadelphia. I plan to create many more travel series art albums in the future. I wanted to start where I grew up. Travel to places I haven’t been in a very long time. It felt like I was rediscovering Philadelphia. I took three trips around the city. I wanted to create more designs but I had a deadline to create this album in under 60 days.

Here are locations I visited and created designs for in the album. You can click on each name and you can see how I created each design.

The music video… I had so much fun making this video. I tested a new video pattern. The main reason why I wanted to create a pattern is to avoid the video looking disjointed. Too many effects might make the video look inconsistent and all over the place. I feel that was my main problem with the first album. I wanted triangles to be prominent through the video. I played around with Video FX in Sony Vegas. When I started playing with tv simulator, it changed my original idea for the album. I thought to keep that effect a dominant background but change the colors based on the design. I also thought the best way to make this video is try to make an outline of what I see in my head and try to translate it in the video. I listened to 2014 by Jahzzar several times and tried to picture how I wanted the design to dance with the beats. I hope you can see consistency with this album. It was a true challenge but I’m very happy with this video. I hope I can continue making more albums. Overall, it took a little over a week to create this album. I ran into a couple of huge setbacks along the way. I couldn’t work on the album on a few days last week. I didn’t keep track of all the hours spent on the album but I know last three days, I was pulling in 7 to 8 hours each day.

I posted all photos that I used to create the design on Pinterest. I also added a few more pictures that I liked as well.

My favorite designs from of this series are Old City and Art Museum. I love the colors and the textures. I started this album on January 21st, 2015 and it’s officially over on March 16th, 2015. I feel relief, happiness, and a little of anxiety. I felt this way at the end of my last album. I really hope I can continue this journey. My next travel series will hopefully be in Chicago, IL.

Thanks so much for viewing my Philadelphia Travel Series Art Album! ♥ Katherine…
